Please note that this job position is not in Melbourne, but for a Store Manager in the Outback of Australia in either NT, QLD, NSW, SA or WA.

Job Description

Outback Stores is seeking single managers or management couples for Store Manager positions to join our Outback family.

As a Store Manager you will be able to directly share your knowledge, collaborate with community members and enjoy some of the most remote parts of Australia.

Desired Skills and Experience

To be successful in the role you will have:

Outback Stores desire our Store Managers, to have a range of skills that are transferable to our team environment, this includes:

  • Minimum of 3 years of retail and fast-moving consumer goods experience in a grocery environment.
  • Prior experience as a Store Manager in a retail environment.
  • Experience in mentoring, training, and leading a diverse team.
  • Knowledge of rostering and staff allocation.
  • Demonstrated experience in budget and financial management, including wage control, inventory, and stock control.
  • Effective cross-cultural collaboration.
  • Sound customer service and relationship building skills.
  • Strong computer literacy, with the ability to learn new software.
